Care and setup
Keeping the world clear
Care is deliberately short. The system does the work; you mostly keep the water topped up, the floss rinsed and the glass clean.
Setup sequence
- 01
Position
Choose a level surface away from direct sunlight, with room behind the tank for the rear panel and cabling.
- 02
Prepare the filtration
Rinse the filter floss and bio-media balls with clean water, then place them in the rear filter compartment.
- 03
Fill
Fill slowly up to the side water-level indicator so the scene is not disturbed.
- 04
Fit the light
Clip the full-spectrum light above the tank and angle it so the relief holds its shadow.
- 05
Set the flow
Start the silent submersible pump on a low setting and adjust until the surface is calm.
Ongoing routine
- Top up to the indicator
- Water evaporates. Use the side water-level indicator as your reference and top up as needed.
- Rinse the filter floss
- When flow slows or the floss looks loaded, rinse it in water rather than replacing it immediately. Leave the bio-media undisturbed where possible.
- Keep the glass clear
- Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth; clean the inside faces gently so the ultra-clear glass stays unmarked.
- Partial water changes
- Change part of the water periodically rather than emptying the tank, so the established filtration keeps working.
What you're maintaining
- Ultra-clear glass tankLow-iron glass keeps the scene reading as an object, not as a container.
- Integrated rear panel and filter compartmentHardware lives behind the world, out of the sightline.
- Clip-on full-spectrum lightA directed spot that models the relief and the water surface.
- Silent submersible pump with adjustable flowCirculation you can tune down to near-stillness.
- Filter floss and bio-media ballsMechanical and biological filtration, included in the compartment.
- Side water-level indicatorA discreet marker for topping up without guesswork.
